We had an extremely limited budget to launch a line of Oreo flavored drinks and donuts at Dunkin’. But we realized that both Oreo and Dunkin' had a hefty Twitter following with a combined 2 million followers. So to get all those followers attention we took a cue from the classic Freaky Friday movie plot and created the world's first Twitter brand swap where each brands Twitter handle unexplainably switched for 24 hours. Then for that whole day the brands tweeted back and forth at each other trying to figure out the right collaboration that would switch the handles back.
The internet took the bate, all the products sold out, and we got some fun nods from Cannes, One Show, and D&AD.
We had fun illustrating the different ideas for possible product collaborations between the two brands . Each on was it’s own post fueling online buzz about what we were up to.
